I’ve just added a couple of plugins to my blog and I’m really happy with them.  You’ve probably noticed them already because they are near the top of the page.

The first one I added was the Opt-in Form Generator.  I’ve wanted to add an opt-in form to my blog for some time but I was worried that it may involve complicated coding.  However, this plugin makes the process so easy and I was able to add an image too.  The plugin is also very customizable – you can change all colors and the size of the form.

After I installed the Opt-in Form plugin I noticed a Banner Ad plugin.  Like the Opt-in Form Generator, it gives you total control over the appearance of the end-product.  You can place your banners before a post, within a post, after a post or in the sidebar.  You can also use this plugin to show Adsense ads or almost any other type of ads.

A while ago I had a nice collection of niche video webpages installed on my main website. I liked them because they were Search Engine friendly and I earned a small amount of Adsense revenue from them. However, another webpage of mine violated Adsense TOS and my account was deleted. Without thinking, I took down my niche video webpages and moved on.

Lately, I’ve become interested in niche websites once more but my lack of an Adsense account is a problem. This leaves me with Amazon and Clickbank to work with if I am to earn any serious revenue.

First, I looked on Google for low-cost or free templates or software relating to Clickbank. One or two things interested me but I decided to check on my hard drive because I have so much clutter on there. I managed to find a piece of software called CB Niche Builder.

My first attempts to use the software weren’t very successful but I found a user guide online and soon created my first site. The result is:

For a first attempt, I think it is OK.  The template is something I also found on my hard drive.  For future attempts I would like to add some ads, maybe banners.

Like I mentioned earlier, this has got me interested in niche websites again.  What I would like to do now is buy a domain name and possibly create a “gateway” to all the niche websites that I am going to create.  Hopefully, these will include some video websites if I can find a way of putting Amazon and Clickbank ads on them.  It’s just a darn shame that I don’t have my Adsense account any more

I couldn’t think of a shorter title for this post, but its true – I’m program hopping like a newbie.

When I first started trying to earn money online I would move from program to program, trying to find the perfect opportunity, trying to do lots of things at the same time.  I though that I had moved on when I began creating my own websites.  However, lately I have signed up to several opportunities and I just know that my chances of earning decent money online are still low.  This sounds negative and depressing, but its true.

I’ve been using traffic exchanges a lot and one of the downsides of using these is that you are bombarded with images and messages telling you that you have found the perfect opportunity to earn thousands of dollars online.  These websites are very tempting and you begin to believe that they could possibly work.

I’ve also revisited Clickbank looking for decent programs to promote as an affiliate.  I first tried Clickbank a long time ago but without much success.  Now I have decided to try promoting two programs which look quite good and the stats provided by Clickbank are encouraging.

Also, I’ve signed up to a reseller hosting site.  I think I am out of my depth with this one – there’s a lot of customizing to do in your back office and you even have to choose your own packages and prices!  But I’m going to give it a go and try to refrain from signing up to any more programs.
